Krobe Careers: Project Manager

This isn’t your typical job listing. Or your typical job. It’s a pretty unique opportunity for a mid-level project manager champion to spend a few months getting their feet wet within our agency -- while working from home.

That said, Krobe Interactive seeks to fill a temporary position for a Project Manager. This person will serve as the official Project Manager of the Krobe team, keeping up with project schedules, resources, client communicaton and deliverables. Because our very own Laura is going to go have her very own baby very soon, we need someone to step in and fill her shoes. They are big shoes, so only those with 5+ years of marketing + web project management experience need apply.

The position is temporary and would begin this spring (think: late March) and carry into at least late July (hard to schedule around a baby with absolute certainty). We hope to have someone in place to begin working alongside Laura and our team well in advance of being 'set loose' and running things solo.

The Project Manager will work directly with the Account Managers for various clients, and juggle as many as 10 projects and their pieces a day. This could be a great opportunity for a seasoned PM that wants to get back into the working world after starting a family, or someone that wants to dabble with the notion of working from home to see if it's a good fit. We are open to structuring this position however is needed for the right candidate (meaning: part time, full time, contract, hourly).

We need a do-er and an organizer, and someone that can put together a mean marketing brief. Understands wireframes, email marketing tools, and can find their way around a CMS and databases.

In this position you will often:

  • Plan meetings, juggle schedules, oversee marketing campaigns
  • Communicate directly with our clients (whom we love, by the way)
  • Create project budgets, timelines and scope documents
  • Contribute strategic recommendations for ongoing campaign improvements as a part of the team
  • Contribute your ideas to team brainstorms and meetings
  • Manage design, copywriting, development resources
  • Serve as final pair of eyes/editor on deliverables
  • Keep clients happy
  • Become familiar with web strategy documents and technical specifications documents
  • Work remotely, manage your own workload, track your time daily (nights and weekends will happen, but are not the norm)
  • Did we mention keep clients happy?
  • Be local to the Raleigh, Durham area and available for in-person meetings with the team and clients

Our agency is a blend of exceptional talent, awesome clients and a (ridiculously) flexible work environment. Because of that, the ideal candidate has to be self-efficient, eager to learn, web savvy and able to take direction and run with it.

We're a very small shop. But we build big. Big relationships. Big websites. Or little projects with big impact. A lot of what we do is all about personal connections with our clients and each other. For that reason, the person we hire - more than resumes, experience or anything - will just feel like the right fit.

We invite you to send us your resume. Tell us what makes you awesome and be certain to include examples of your work as it relates to this position. Make your story shine in our inbox. Also send along references and your salary requirements, so we can jump right on this process.
